The person at reception, possibly the owner, was very kind and helpful. The room was spacious, but felt old and not well maintained. I booked in Dec. 2024 mainly for the location near Vatican City, and it's also close to a metro station with several good restaurants nearby. The surroundings outside Vatican City didn't appeal to me. It felt less touristy and more mixed in terms of nationalities, but not in a pleasant or touristic way. For the price, it was acceptable for a one-night stay. If you want somewhere more comfortable for spending more than just the night, I don't think this is the best choice.

We stayed at Veneto Suite Rome, which is managed by Vatican Rooms along with a number of other apartments in Rome. They told us to contact Vatican Rooms about any issues. We noticed a couple of ants on the first day and didn't make a fuss, but after a long day out on day two, the room and bathroom were full of them. They offered to move us, but the other room was covered in ants too. Then they said they'd pay for a cab and arrange a move somewhere else, but that was just talk. We left at 9:30pm, in the middle of the night, after being told they'd help and then getting no help. With an early train coming up, we had to pay for another place so we wouldn't be left on the street. I've emailed several times and tried calling, but they ignore me. Terrible service and a terrible experience.

Edoardo and Michele were wonderful, they helped us book our trip to Pompei and even took our clothes to the laundromat and picked them up. We got 5 star treatment. The location is handy for the metro and Vatican City, and the room was clean, with daily cleaning. We liked having the kitchen so we could make our own breakfast. There was no noise at night, and we slept well. The rooms aren't as pictured on the website since they're not modern, but with the daily cleaning we didn't mind. Hot water in the shower would've been nice, and the AC could've been stronger. Still, those were small things since we only spent a few hours sleeping there.

Valerio made the stay special. He showed us the surrounding area, pointed out markets and good pizza places and restaurants, and was available by phone for questions or recommendations. The train station is very nearby, and it's an easy walk to both the Vatican and a large shopping district. The lodging was modern, clean, and well kept, with friendly staff who did a good job cleaning our room. We had a wonderful week and would definitely stay here again.

Our host Valerio was the best part of the stay, incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, even at odd hours of the night. The rooms were lovely and modern, and very clean and comfortable. It's easy to reach by train and well placed for seeing Rome's main sights. I'd highly recommend it for a visit to Rome.
