Handy for getting in and out of the city, since Roma Termini Train Station is within walking distance. There are good restaurants and a market nearby too. It’s also convenient if you want to take the City Bus Tour from Roma Termini. Decent enough for a day or two.

The host was kind and helpful, and she made late check-in and early check-out work for us. The rooms are clean, and it’s a good budget option with excellent public transport nearby. Santa Maria Maggiore is a good first stop if you’re setting out on a walking tour of Rome. A couple of things to know: the elevator is small and only fits 2 to 4 people before its alarm goes off. The hot water from the taps also fluctuates.

The street isn’t close enough to anything to make up for how awful this place was. The hostess was the rudest person alive, blaming us for messes that weren’t our fault. Any communication that wasn’t her yelling at us in Italian seemed to take no effort from her. The wi-fi doesn’t work in the rooms, and the shower water is either scalding or scalding. Avoid this hostess like the plague.

The street was annoyingly busy and loud, even with the windows shut. I couldn’t sleep without earplugs. My family didn’t complain much, though, so maybe it wasn’t that bad. It’s a decent budget stay, and we appreciated having a microwave oven and kettle on the floor, plus a small fridge in the room. The listing said our room had 2 single beds, but it actually had a bunk bed, which wasn’t very comfortable for us.
