The entry instructions were clear, and I liked having cameras in the main room. The location was great too. But my room smelled like smoke despite the no-smoking rule, and the floor was really dirty and hadn't been vacuumed. I found loads of hairs when I pulled back the bedspread, though the sheets were clean. The curtains could use a wash as well.

We'd happily stay at Sensation house again when we're back in Rome. The rooms were clean and quiet, with daily cleaning, and the place is near the metro at Bologna square. Being outside the centre worked well for us: it was quieter, less crowded, and easy to get around. Breakfast is self-service, with coffee and basic packaged things like biscuits, cupcakes, milk, juice and cornflakes. It was enough to get the day started. The building has three access points: you can use a key or code to enter the building and apartment lobby, but the room itself needs a key. That means you can leave your luggage in the lobby before check-in or after checkout. The host asks you to call before arriving. They request ID and then give you the entry instructions. We'd definitely recommend it for a Rome stay.

The location is the only real plus. Everything in the room felt like the owner had gone for the cheapest option instead of spending anything to make guests comfortable, from the mattress to the towel. Think it over before booking 😂
