St. Peter Manor

I found the place just okay, and would probably choose the hotel next door or another nearby street. The hard bed was uncomfortable, and the air conditioning was very loud at night. With such thin windows, street noise came through clearly all the time. The shower drained very slowly, and its open setup and flat bathroom floor let water spread everywhere, almost flooding half the room. I was told I could pay the city tax by bank transfer at the end of the stay. Then, literally three minutes before I left, the lady said it had to be cash. I had none because I expected to transfer it, so I had to borrow cash from someone and then transfer them the money. Really frustrating and inconvenient. Not a great stay.

Inside, the room was quiet even though the streets outside were busy, so we could get some rest. Getting into the rooms was easy because the instructions were clear. Just be aware there’s no elevator, so you’ll need to carry your luggage upstairs and pack light. The exterior has that typical Roma look, while the inside feels like a modern hotel. Toiletries and towels were provided, and you can put out a sign if you want housekeeping. The amenities were great, clean, spacious, and working. It’s a minute from the Basilica, close to restaurants, souvenir shops, gelateria, and bars. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

The room was comfortable, but Friday was a problem. Ours faced the street, and the windows weren’t insulated, so every clack and screech outside came through. Aline was always available, and she was really friendly and nice. The neighborhood was lovely, with a bit of everything nearby: good restaurants, cafes, bars, and supermarkets. Piazza Di san pietro is only three minutes away.

The Vatican is right nearby, and there are loads of great cafes and restaurants on the next street. The place was really comfortable and well equipped. I’d definitely stay again.
