St. Peter's Holiday Home

The landlord was always easy to reach on WhatsApp and very helpful, including with recommendations for restaurants and grocery shops nearby. Picking up the keys from the coded locker was straightforward. The apartment is on the fifth floor, but the elevator made getting there easy. Its large terrace was a highlight, great for morning coffee or unwinding after sightseeing. The Vatican is about a 30-minute walk away, making it convenient for exploring the city.

There are lots of useful places close by, including a supermarket, local market, bars, and restaurants. The apartment is nice and has a big terrace that would be great in warmer weather. The furnishings could do with an update, and the bathroom is a little small and too damp.

I really liked the friendly guidance, and the place itself is clean, comfortable, and nice. There’s a large mart nearby, so I’ve been buying groceries and eating in most nights. The bus stop is right out front, and security is thorough. It feels like a neighborhood I’d like to live in. A couple of things went wrong, though: the water doesn’t always come on, and I have to wait about 15 minutes? Also, the oven broke once while I was using it.

We only checked in yesterday, so I can’t say much yet, but there’s already plenty I like. The studio is small, though the amazing terrace adds room and was the reason we booked, so we can sit outside like at a dacha. The bed is very comfortable, just right for my back, and shops are nearby. The Vatican is incredibly close. We went out for a stroll to the store and came across this historic site. It was breathtaking. The train station is also nearby on the way to the Vatican, but there’s no train noise. The building has a concierge who keeps strangers out, so I feel our belongings are safe. The studio has what we need. The equipment isn’t the newest, but everything works and should be easy to use. Time to go explore the Eternal City.
