The room felt suffocating, and the old building seemed poorly maintained. When we told the staff woman that my elderly parents felt suffocated and wanted to leave, her behavior changed completely. We asked to cancel, but she refused to refund us even though Booking.com’s policy allowed a partial refund of the room cost and a full refund of the city tax. She said she couldn’t return the city tax once the receipt had been issued, then said she had no cash. In the end, she refunded us in cash, which she’d had all along. We felt the place was very low standard and the staff were dishonest. Don’t be taken in by the positive reviews.
