Terrazza Romana Axel

The terrace is stunning, with a 360° view of Rome, and the house is delightful and well maintained. The owners were genuinely kind and helpful. With the Metro, bus, and train all less than a five-minute walk away, the central location made exploring the city stress-free. Rome needs places like this if you want to really experience its beauty. I’ll definitely be back. A must!

What a disappointment. The terrace should be the highlight, but it was so neglected that I’d rather it weren’t there. There were sun-baked plastic toys, worn-out wooden loungers, and black garbage bags nearby. I don’t even want to know what was in them. The plants were in such bad shape that I can’t blame it on the autumn weather during my stay. Inside, the place is lovely, but how did nobody notice crumbs in the fridge or that the toilet brush desperately needs replacing? No comment. They’d set out tea and jam for breakfast, but there wasn’t even toast to put the jam on. Better to offer nothing, it would make a better impression. The welcome wine and snacks were fine, though I think they should be sealed instead of loose. Such a shame. I’d have loved to come back and use it as a base for my many trips to Rome. I hope this negative review leads to real improvements.

The apartment has everything you need for a memorable stay, and the owners were especially courteous and helpful. It’s in a spectacular location, and the terrace is fantastic. We’ll definitely return!
