Trastevere Studio with Terrace

We couldn't stay and had to find last-minute accommodation elsewhere. The property looked nothing like its online listing or photos, and it was extremely dirty. The sofa and bed pillows had human specimen stains; the toilet seat was broken off, and the shower was covered in mould and dirt. There was decomposing old food in the fridge, and the walls had dirt and dents. The air conditioning didn't work either. The hosts promised a full refund, but have fraudulently taken over $800 and we're still waiting. I honestly doubt that most of the reviews are real. DON'T RISK IT!!!!

There's a bar called Bum Bum right under the apartment, playing disco tech-like music until 2am. After that, people in their twenties hang around partying outside until 3am. If you're in your twenties and looking to party, this could suit you. Adults, especially families with kids, would be better off in a quieter part of town. There are plenty of rentals in neighborhoods that are fun for families and much less noisy. Have fun!

The area was good, but we spent all five nights in 38°C heat. On arrival, we were told the air conditioning was broken and someone would come fix it the next day, with a fan offered in the meantime. Then we were told it would take three days, but nobody came. They could at least have offered a discount or dinner.

It’s a beautiful place and everything else was perfect, but the stairs are really steep and hard to manage with a stroller.
