Tree Charme Trilussa

We had an apartment with a terrace, and it was spacious and clean. We got to enjoy the lovely views from the terrace every day. The location made it easy to get around and enjoy everything beautiful Rome has to offer, and the staff were very helpful. We had a wonderful stay at Tree Charme Trilussa.

The sleep was awful. My room was right above a bar that stayed open until 2am every night, with heavy bass thumping from around 10pm until closing. It felt like the speaker was directly beneath the bed, with every beat coming through the wall and mattress. I couldn't escape it, even with the earplugs they provided. I live in a big city and usually don't mind road noise or people out in squares at night, but this was something else. After three days of maybe 3-4 hours of decent sleep a night, I left very, very tired. The place has a charming feel and a good price in a nice part of Rome. The central neighborhood is lively, and everything was walkable in minutes. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and though staff were only around briefly during the day, they were warm and helpful. My room was more basic than the photos but functional, with a comfortable bed, and felt like good value overall. Trying to sleep in later didn't help. The room was next to both the breakfast terrace and reception, so from 7am I could hear people moving plates and talking right outside my door. Napping in the day was no better, with square musicians of varying talent playing bongos and drums outside.

We had a great time there for my birthday weekend. It was spotless, and breakfast was good. By Italian standards, there was enough to choose from. You're right in the middle of Trastevere's bars and restaurants, and the city center of Roma is about a 20 minute walk away. It can be a little noisy until 2am, but we knew that and brought earplugs.

The location and pleasant, quiet atmosphere made for a really enjoyable stay. Staff were kind and always available, answered our questions, and shared recommendations that turned out to be excellent and delicious. We're already looking forward to returning.
