The only positive I can mention is that the sole staff member in charge tried to be friendly. The breakfast was a joke, and we didn't even try what they provided. The place was dirty, and the bathroom could easily make you puke. What they charge each day doesn't match the service at all. I was being generous giving it one star. I worried something fishy might happen to me or my wife. Please don't stay here, it's a complete rip-off.

The staff were unprofessional, and there was no reception at all. Breakfast was a joke, with outdated milk, bread, biscuits, and other products that you have to prepare yourself. The beds were old and broken, and they charge 5 Euros per person for bedsheet cleaning on top of the city tax. It's hard to even find the place, hardly anyone seems to know it. The rooms are third class, with dirty beds, sheets, and towels. Their towels were worse than dusting cloths. If you're really poor and want to insult yourself, go to this hotel.

The bedbugs bit me, and the manager asked me to leave when I requested a refund. I spent 50€ on a doctor's consultation and about 30€ on medicine. The infection spread to my shoulder, and I nearly had to be admitted to the hospital. After speaking with three more people, someone finally returned 21.5€ of the 136€ I'd paid, which doesn't even cover all my medical expenses. I had expected to pay about 90€, but the price was changed, and the deposit of a little over 80€ still hasn't been refunded. The place stinks and the people running it aren't professional. There were bedbugs everywhere. Look at the pictures, one was in my pillow. Other girls staying there were bitten too and found bedbugs. Don't go there.

After we landed at FMO Airport, we collected our bags and went to the spot we'd been told to meet the car. It hadn't arrived after 45 minutes, so I called the 'hotel'. The person who answered said they'd booked it and it should be there. We waited another half hour, then took a taxi, which was only 15 euros more. A couple of days before, I'd contacted the owner on WhatsApp to arrange the pickup, and he'd asked for my details, dates, and landing time. We had booked through Expedia for August the previous year, with payment due at the hotel. When we arrived, a man met us on a street behind the address we'd been given, which was wrong. The two men at the desk said they had no booking for us and demanded another 250 Euros if we wanted to stay. They refused to contact the owner when I asked, then, after 20 minutes of arguing, called him on a phone attached to a printer. He was abusive and disrespectful and seemed to be trying to extort money from us. We left and called Expedia, who arranged a room at the 5 Star hotel Capo De Africa near the Colesseum. We paid only €100 extra each, while Expedia covered the extra €800. Their staff were brilliant and handled it with care. Please don't give this place the light of day. It gets one star only because I can't give none.
