Breakfast on the beautiful terrace was a lovely way to take in the exceptional countryside view each day. It was well balanced and continental, and the owner makes an excellent cappuccino. He’s also very kind and knows the region well, with plenty of recommendations. The human hosts and the two cats were wonderful. It felt like a quiet little paradise for guests as much as for the cats, and we enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you, Manfredi, Macchia and Ginger :)

Manfredi was incredibly helpful with suggestions for places to eat and local spots. We found this peaceful, breathtaking setting close to our favorite San Gimignano, so it made a great base for exploring Tuscany. It’s quiet, but still in the middle of everything worth seeing. We’re sure we’ll come back someday. Grazie mille Manfredi!

The whole place has its own history and is absolutely worth recommending. We loved the quiet, beautiful setting, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The landlord pointed us toward local places to visit and eat around Tuscany that weren’t so crowded with tourists. We’re sure to come back someday!

Our reservation for April 6-7, 2025, made two months ahead, was cancelled because the hotel said it wasn’t ready to provide full service. By then the good hotels in the region were full, and the remaining options were very expensive. This was irresponsible and far from quality service. I wouldn’t stay at a hotel like this.

We wished we’d planned a longer stay, because leaving was sad. Manfredi booked us a table at an authentic restaurant he recommended, and we got to meet and pet both cats. The simple, wholesome breakfast was served on a terrace with olive groves in view, plus the town and nearby vineyards in the distance. Just a short drive from Sam Gimignano, Manfredi’s magnificent house made a great base for northern Tuscany and a way to get away from the crowds.
