Cosy apartment house Diamant in Santa Cristina

The place was beautiful, clean, and well organized, with a convenient location. The nearby bus stop made getting around easy. There’s also a pool and spa at the nearby hotel of the same name, if you’d like to use them.

The bus stop nearby made it easy to get to the ski areas and hiking trails, and the apartment was clean. Still, it was very basic, had little charm, and the beds were uncomfortable. We chose it through booking.com because the listing highlighted access to the hotel's spa. When we arrived, we learned the spa was closed and only open when the hotel itself was operating. That detail was missing from booking.com, and the hotel's website described it in a way we found very misleading. When we politely raised the issue and asked about a discount, the manager responded harshly. There was no understanding or willingness to compromise, and I’ve never had such poor customer service. Getting in touch during the stay was difficult too: several calls got cut off, and promised callbacks never came. The stay was very disappointing, and I can’t recommend this accommodation.

Check-in and check-out take place at Hotel Diamant, around 500 meters from the apartment building. The building has basement parking. The apartment itself is fine and has what you need for a few days. The hotel restaurant is expensive for what they serve.

The balcony looks out at Sassolungo, which is a wonderful view, and the apartment is nearer Ortisei than Santa Cristina. There’s underground parking, and the bus stop is about 200 meters away. You get a free bus ticket when you check in. We’d book it again. Just bring your own dish soap, hand soap, salt, and pepper, since none are provided, even though some other holiday apartments include them.
