Residence Panaval

There are plenty of places nearby for dinner, breakfast, or lunch, and the market is right across the street. Our room was very quiet, maybe too quiet if you want some background noise, and the blinds weren’t blackout, though it was dark enough. The radiators worked almost too well, so I had to open a window to cool things down. We came for a ski trip without a car, and this place worked out well for the price. It isn’t fancy, but we mainly needed somewhere to sleep and shower. The pull-out sofa bed was decent. Saslong lifts are walkable, and there’s a good apres ski bar down there, less than a 10-minute walk away. From Saslong you can reach lots of lifts and ski to several towns. I found Google Maps much easier to use for the lifts and routes than the interactive map, and two days of skiing kept me busy. There’s also a ski bus stop for other areas and lifts, and the room includes a free bus pass. The bus to Waidbruck train station is close too, about a three-minute walk, so it’s handy without a car.
