Massimiliano was a warm and generous host. He collected us at the train station and made lovely breakfasts, including a wonderful range of pastries for someone in our group who needed gluten-free food. The pool and jacuzzi kept my son happy for hours. The art deco villa was gorgeous, and the rooms felt charming and comfortable. It’s just a couple of blocks from the beach and restaurants. We’d love to come back soon.

I felt so comfortable there, and the view was perfect. The people were friendly and very nice, and I really loved the whole trip. It’s one of the best places I’ve stayed, and I’d recommend it to anyone. ❤️ Love this place.

A lovely garden, a big shared terrace, and a pleasant pool made the stay feel like real dolce vita. The beach is just a two-minute walk away, and the host was kind and helpful. The art deco building is fabulous, with tasteful, elegant furnishings and stylish details. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and there were some real delicacies to enjoy.

My top-floor room was wonderful, with a great view over the roofs of beautiful villas and the sea in the distance. Breakfast was delicious and so generous it felt like lunch, served on a cozy terrace. The place was excellent, and the host was very, very kind. I’d definitely like to return.

We came from England two days before a luxury cruise, hoping to get ahead of the French air traffic control strikes, their summer sport. We hadn’t expected much, but the villa turned out to be lovely. We travel in five- or six-star places around the world, so this was a pleasant surprise. The people who work here were genuinely lovely. We arrived without cash, having forgotten to get euros. There’s a little market only 30 metres away with meat, cheese, vegetables, clothes, and, remarkably, no belts. Since markets take cash, the staff offered to drive us to an ATM two kilometers away. Even the gardener was alert to anything we might need. We only had to hint at a small difficulty, like opening a door, and he was there to help. We couldn’t have been in better hands. It was a joy meeting them. The villa puts a lot of time and expense into breakfast, so please tell them ahead if you don’t plan to eat there. I usually skip breakfast, but my wife doesn’t. She got a whole three-tier trolley of treats, so much food that even a ravenous mammal couldn’t finish it. She’s not a monster, though she has her moments, and could barely make a dent. She even took pictures, which she normally doesn’t do. The room was more than pleasant for the price, and my wife and I immediately warmed to the whole accommodation. It felt different, which is rare these days. Sometimes you can set aside your own taste and enjoy what’s there. The neighborhood isn’t wealthy, which isn’t the villa’s fault. Reve Restaurant, a five-minute walk away, felt like an oasis, and the waitress we met deserved a review of her own. Delightful. One suggestion: another mirror in the room. The only one was in the bathroom, which is rarely well lit or is otherwise monopolized by one’s wife. If you’re going on a cruise, treat yourself to a stay here 24-48 hours beforehand, as we did. It takes away the stress of reaching the ship on time and eases you peacefully into the next adventure. Lord & Lady Clark of Wyken (aka The Bored Millionaires) P.S. I do write poor reviews too, and they’re ruthlessly acidic.
