B&B Romeo

The hosts made me feel at home, with a warm, family-like welcome and a smile at every turn. I stayed for several weeks for both work and vacation, and the quality of the breakfast was a real pleasure to start each day with. They use top-quality products. The rooms were spacious, nicely furnished and always spotless. There's a convenient covered parking space, too. The B&B is in a quiet, peaceful area just steps from the center of Santarcangelo di Romagna, making it easy to get around and explore the area while still being a good place to unwind. The hosts were kind and always available, with so many thoughtful touches. I highly recommend it for a short or long stay if you're after relaxation, quality and authentic Italian hospitality. I'll definitely be back.

I booked this place for two of my company's employees, who were going to a training course in Sant'Arcangelo in Romagna. They were traveling from Rome and due to arrive at 8:30 PM, but a major delay on the Trenitalia line meant they still hadn't arrived around 8:40 PM. Reception contacted them, but they couldn't give an arrival time because it kept being pushed back. The man at reception insisted that check-in wasn't possible after 9:00 PM and said the fee would be refunded. I think it was very serious that my employees weren't guaranteed a place to sleep that night. After that exchange, I had to find somewhere else for them. I called the hotel the next morning. The woman said the information they'd received the night before was wrong, but she couldn't refund me because “it's not her fault if guests get lost along the way.” I was disappointed that she offered a discount voucher for a future stay instead. I explained that I had no reason to come back to this location and couldn't use the coupon, but there was no understanding. I absolutely do not recommend it.

Santarcangelo di Romagna is charming too. We chose it over Rimini for two nights, and this was one of the most beautiful places I've stayed. The room was spacious, bright and had a balcony. Cleaning was excellent, punctual and done every day. There was a drying rack, ironing board and hairdryer available on request. I didn't ask for an iron since I'd brought one from home. We also had mini shower gel and shampoo, disposable slippers and plenty of towels. Breakfast was more than excellent, with lots of choice and generous portions. The women were extremely helpful and unexpectedly kind, and offered advice when we needed it. They wanted us to have the best stay of our lives, while still giving us space. It felt like visiting relatives, without being intrusive. The attention to detail was excellent. We'll definitely return. I recommend it to everyone. Five stars aren't enough.

The owners were kind and thoughtful, and happy to ask whether we needed anything else. The rooms were clean and welcoming, and the spotless bathroom even had scented towels. I want to point that out because it's not something you can take for granted. Breakfast is à la carte, with a huge selection so you can choose what you want. I also left a jacket behind, and they promised to send it to me at no cost to me. It wasn't an expensive jacket, but that's beside the point, the gesture is what counts. In any case, it cost more than €10. Everything was perfect, and I'd love to find more B&Bs like this, though I doubt I will. Highly recommended!
