Scilla Resort

The free parking area offered by the hotel was very close and convenient, which we appreciated since having a car can be a hassle. A very nice young woman met us, spoke much better English than we spoke Italian, and offered to show us the rooms before we made a decision. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re lucky enough to return to this beautiful town.

Scilla is pretty quiet in January, but our host welcomed us and did her best. It was good value for the money, though expectations should stay modest. Everything is very basic, and it feels more like a B&B than a hotel.

We had no trouble with parking during our stay, and the town was fun to explore, especially the beach area and the fishing village beneath the cliff. This is a small family run hotel, pleasant but not fancy, and the price wasn’t excessive. There’s a related B&B down by the beach, but we preferred the hotel’s rooms and services, including the internet and breakfast. I also think the beds were much better here. Choose the B&B if walking to the beach matters most. The staff were friendly, helpful and informative. After we called, the daughter came to guide us from the B&B location to the hotel.

Nicoletta and her family were amazing hosts, so kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and breakfast was great. Try the homemade marmalade! We wish we’d had longer in Scilla, and we’ll be back.
