After a long day riding in the cold and wind, it was a joy to return to a clean, well-heated suite. We were in the Marches region for the Easter holidays, and motorbike travel there can be chilly and windy at that time of year. The room had a coffee machine, which was a nice extra, and coffee and biscuits were already waiting for us. Breakfast was generous and savory, with high-quality local yogurt, milk, and butter, plus about six kinds of bread. There were no eggs, though I could have asked. The owner’s homemade lemon and orange marmalade with brandy and cinnamon is definitely worth trying.

Tuttaterra is a lovely house set among green, hilly scenery, with a salty swimming pool. The warm, welcoming family made it a wonderful place to stay.

The breakfast was truly mediocre. For a countryside B&B, I expected genuine local products, but we got jams in "Mariuccia"-style tubs and discount croissants. Even with the temperature at 25 degrees Celsius, the pool couldn't be used. The road up to the property is hard on the car's suspension and tires. The rooms have refurbished antiques, but to me the decor came across like a modern art composition that takes a lot of imagination to appreciate.
