Massimo and the rest of the staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. We especially enjoyed breakfast at the included Viola Cafe. Our suite had a big bedroom and bathroom, plus a small kitchen, and the rooftop overlooking the Ionian Sea was a lovely spot to sit. The hotel is in a beautifully renovated historic building on a quiet street in Ortigia, close to Via Roma. We stayed three nights and would definitely come back.

Massimo was wonderful to deal with. When we casually mentioned the lack of internet, he had a router brought to our room within a few hours, and he quickly sorted out a couple of other small problems too. Our apartment was in a separate building, right by the sea, just 10 meters from the rocks above a swimming area. It felt spacious, with high ceilings and a very comfortable bed in the loft. The stairs up to the loft could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

The front desk team was top notch, quick to answer texts and happy to help arrange restaurant bookings and taxis. We stayed in the Nizza Suite, which was nicely decorated and had plenty of room, with a living area downstairs and a bedroom in the loft. It’s close to the water, which was great. The one drawback was the lack of Wi-Fi.

We loved the breakfast, especially the homemade strawberry and orange jam and the pistachio crostata. The suite was very large and had all the comforts we needed. The hotel sits right by the sea in Ortigia’s historic center, on a quiet street, while the main streets with shops and restaurants are only a few minutes away. My wife and I stayed two days and would highly recommend it.
