The house has beautiful views all around and the location is excellent, right in the middle of Tuscany. Siena is about 20 minutes away, and the nearest village, with everything you need, is five minutes down the road. The hosts were lovely and full of recommendations. They helped with our shopping and even brought us fresh homemade pasta and a bottle of wine.

We love this villa and have stayed here for the second time. The Guasconi family are incredibly kind and welcoming, and it feels like home as soon as you arrive. The place is spacious, spotless and has all the amenities we needed. San Rocco a Pilli, with its grocery store and restaurants, is just down the road, and beautiful Siena is only a few minutes by car. When we’re in Italy, we don’t want to stay anywhere else!

The farm itself is a big part of the experience. Agriturismo Vigliano Bio is a genuinely working Tuscan farm, and the villa has an authentic old-farm feel while still being very comfortable. We visited for eight days in early October, when the pool was already closed for the season, but that didn’t spoil our stay. The location lived up to what other reviews had said, and it worked beautifully as a base for exploring Tuscany and Umbria’s cities and small villages. We were four adults in a spacious first-floor apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was comfortable for all of us. There are three separate apartments in the villa, each with its own kitchen. The first-floor apartments share a small sitting area, while downstairs there’s a large common room with couches, a fireplace, a big dining table and a coffee bar. The covered patio is also shared and set up with everything you might want for eating outside. The kitchen was well stocked with pasta, fresh organic pasta in the fridge, tea, coffee and herbs, so we could make a few simple meals after long days out. The food prep area was a little small, which gave us an excuse not to attempt anything elaborate. Federica and Guglielmo live in the small house next door and were gracious, accommodating hosts, ready with advice, information, help and food. When we arrived very late, hungry, a lovely plate of cheese and cold cuts was waiting on the kitchen table. We’re still grateful for that. We had an excellent stay and recommend it to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation on a typical old Tuscan farm with friendly, outgoing hosts. The hosts were thoughtful and easy to deal with. They even got my flat car battery recharged right away, and the whole place was spotless.
