B&B Joan's Heritage

Joan's Heritage was a very comfortable place to stay. The location was hard to fault, close to Taormina’s attractions and restaurants. Gianluca and Lisa welcomed us warmly, served a great breakfast, and were happy to advise us on sights and onward travel. Their help with planning was essential for making sense of the Sicilian bus network.

The owners were super friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and well stocked. It’s a beautiful hotel right at the entrance to Taormina. Highly recommended.

The location is fantastic, and we barely heard any noise despite being in the centre. At least our room was quiet since it faced inward, away from the street. For one night, breakfast included and all for 55 euros, the price was very reasonable. The rooms are basic and quite dated, though, and could use some renovation. Ours was really small, just a bed, small wardrobe, desk, and two side tables. There was dirt on the windowsills, so it didn’t feel super clean, and the headboard looked old with fabric coming off the bed base. The Aircon was loud and took a while to cool the room. For one or two nights, it’s a good deal if you’ll be out exploring most of the time. If you want somewhere to relax or a more luxurious stay, you might want to look elsewhere. All in all, we had a good stay for what we paid.

A very convenient location, with clean rooms and easy access to the central areas and the most visited sights. The hosts are charming and hospitable, and they serve a tasty breakfast. They also give reliable recommendations for places to eat around town.
