Residenza Arena

Having a kitchen was really handy, since we could cook for ourselves sometimes. Arena Residenza is only a short walk from town, with beaches in the other direction. Antonio was easygoing and very helpful. He seems to know lots of people around town and can arrange tours, scooter hire, and more. His translator worked well too, so we had no trouble communicating 😝. Thanks for all your help, Antonio 👍

Residenza Arona was fully booked when we first planned our trip well in advance. Then, two days before we were due to go, another hotel tried to deceive us, so we had to cancel. I started searching for apartments again, and somehow one had opened up at Residenza Arona. We booked immediately and never regretted it. Antonio was the best host and stayed in touch throughout our trip. He even offered to pick us up from the train station. We decided to walk instead. It wasn’t far, and the route was comfortable and easy with a suitcase and bag. When we arrived, Antonio greeted us like family and made us feel truly expected. He spent a lot of time answering all our questions and explaining where to eat, which tours to take, and where to find the best ice cream. The apartment was incredible, with a large kitchen, an incredibly comfortable bed, a great bathroom, and an amazing balcony with a sea view. We had a wonderful seven days. Everything we needed was there, everything worked, and there were no problems. The places Antonio recommended really were the best. Our train was late on departure day, so they let us leave our things at the hotel and walk around Tropea while we waited.

The service staff were super friendly. The room was simply equipped, but fine for the price in mid season. Our stay was okay. If a simple place at a good price works for you, you should be happy here.

Antonio, the owner, picked us up at the train station and suggested a bakery we liked so much that we went there every day. Everything was perfect.
