We stayed for two nights in this cute, quiet place. Federica was really helpful and communicative at first, but after we arrived she didn’t answer any of the questions we sent. The main problems were mold on the bathroom walls, which doesn’t seem healthy to breathe in, and the cleanliness around the breakfast area and kitchen. I’d read comments about the small rooms and bathrooms and figured that was typical for a Venice hotel. Also, be ready to climb stairs to your room.

We thought this was one of the best places for the price on our trip. My sister and I stayed two nights in June 2023, right next to the Venice Biennale, which was a highlight. During high season, I’d recommend this district. It’s quiet, with lots of locals living here, and shops and cafes are close by on Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. The Giardini vaporetto stop made it easy to get to San Marco square for the sights. It took about 15 minutes, so you really aren’t far from the centre. Federica gave us useful information for getting to the B&B late at night, and check-in was easy. Our room was gorgeous and stylish, clean, air conditioned, and had a lovely view of the street below.

The room was small but cozy and very nice. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary breakfast, especially the delicious muffins and coffee. We didn’t meet the owner, but the housekeeper was delightful and extremely helpful. The location works really well for La Biennale, though it’s a bit of a walk to the city centre. We had a very enjoyable stay.

There’s a nice park nearby, and the Giardini taxi stop is just two minutes away. Plenty of restaurants and bars are within five minutes, and it’s a pleasant stroll to St Marks. The location is great, and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. We’d choose this place again if we came back to Venice.

Our confirmed booking had been made weeks earlier, but when we arrived in May they told us there was no room for us. Apparently they had only just “realised” this. It was extremely stressful, since alternatives were scarce and expensive, and all the communication happened over the phone. I can’t find much positive to say. If you care about professional service and knowing that a confirmed booking actually exists, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
