Adua Hotel

They didn’t tell us before payment that the rooms had no heating and the bathrooms no hot water. We could shower only because they let us use a heated bathroom with hot water in the building next door. For most of the day, nobody was at the front desk, and none of the phone numbers they gave us ever answered.

There were dead ants and hair in the bed, and I’ll add some photos. Even calling this place a “hotel” feels wrong when they can’t provide a receipt or invoice. If you’re traveling for business, don’t stay here. I couldn’t get the paperwork I needed for reimbursement. Reception doesn’t arrive until around 2 p.m. at the earliest, and both the room doors and the main entrance were left open. When I got into the room, there were three or four mosquitoes, even though it was cold and nowhere near summer. I can’t imagine how bad that would be in summer. The window was broken and wouldn’t open or close properly. A small gap let in all the noise from outside, and I could only sleep with headphones on. The girl at reception spoke neither English nor Italian. I’d read mixed reviews before my one-night stay and thought, how bad could it be? I found out. It was the worst experience of my life, a total disaster. Spend a little more and book somewhere else for peace of mind.

This place is a disaster, just horrible 😱 The location is the only good thing. There’s no air conditioning, fridge, or private bathroom, and with no window screens, we couldn’t even open the windows because of the mosquitoes. They didn’t provide soap or shampoo either. Honestly, even one euro a night would be too much.

By 11 PM I had to leave the room and urgently find a place at the hotel across the street. Since I’d booked at the last minute, it cost me a lot. I arrived early in the evening, and near bedtime I spotted several cockroaches in the room and bedbugs under the sheet. I have OCD, and seeing that set off an anxiety attack right away. From the moment I arrived I’d been having problems. The hotel was in a terrible state, nothing like the listing, and shouldn’t even be operating. What happened was unacceptable. At the very least, I want my money back.
