Aquamare Boutique B&B

We were so glad to find this boutique hotel, right near the center of everything. One morning we missed breakfast, so a staff member came by our room to ask if we wanted coffee or something to eat. That kindness and attention to detail meant a lot. It was just perfect, and we’ll definitely be back on our next trip. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

We loved the B&B’s thoughtful renovation and decor, and visiting just before Christmas made the stay especially lovely. It was quiet, the rooms were clean, and breakfast offered several well-prepared choices. There’s a little rooftop terrace for breakfast outside or a glass of wine in the evening when the weather is sunny. The location, just behind Piazza San Marco, made everything easy to reach on foot. Only downside for us was the beds: after two nights our backs felt it, since they were too hard.

Aquamare is close to the main Piazza, major museums, attractions, and the vaporetto, which made getting around easy. The hosts were welcoming and flexible about check-in depending on when we arrived. The building looks a little old from outside, but inside it’s been renovated and decorated in an authentic Venetian style. Everything was spotless, with an impressive eye for detail. A perfect place to stay in Venice.

The rooftop terrace and complimentary drinks were a real treat, and the owners were very friendly. It was extremely clean, too. St. Mark's Basilica and the water bus stop are both about a five-minute walk away, so getting around was easy.
