The Lovers

Sara made everything feel easy, from answering questions on WhatsApp before we travelled to explaining the practical details and arranging the extras we needed for Venice. Every time we wondered how something would work, she had a reassuring answer. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, secure and very clean. It’s well placed for exploring the area, with plenty of lovely restaurants within an easy walk. We could come back after sightseeing, then head out on foot again for the evening. A tip for getting there with heavy bags: San Silvestro Water Bus stop is less than a minute away, on a flat, easy route. If you arrive from the airport on the Orange line, it stops at Rialto on the other side of the canal. That walk is short, but can be awkward with luggage and crowds on Rialto Bridge. With a multi-day waterbus pass, you can get off the airport boat at San Stae, then take number 1 toward Lido and get off at San Silvestro. There are no ticket machines, so buy online before leaving or scan the code on arrival, and remember to activate the ticket before boarding. For our return, we took number 1 to San Angelo and caught the airport boat there. It was an easy, flat route, and the boat was quieter than at busy, chaotic Rialto. We liked everything and would happily stay at The Lovers again when we visit Venice.

The Casanova apartment was lovely, brand new and decorated with great attention to detail, and it had excellent amenities. I stayed several nights and had a fantastic time. Its location is ideal, just 100 steps from Rialto, on a cute little square overlooking the church of Sant'Aponal. An incredible value rental in central Venice, highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time here. The place is right in the city, clean and nice, with air conditioning in both bedrooms and the living room. There’s a Lavazza coffee machine too. It looked even better than the photos, and the host was really helpful and nice. Highly recommend.

Sara was a very kind and helpful host, and we felt completely comfortable in this beautiful, cozy apartment. Our two-bed Apartment Veronica is in the middle of Venice’s old town, just a few minutes from Rialto Bridge and the Rialto or Rialto Mercato Vaporetto stops. Everything felt new and nicely renovated: large beds with comfortable mattresses, a bright, lovely bathroom, a new kitchen and new windows. It was quiet too. We highly recommend it.
