Getting around by public transit and reaching attractions was quite easy from this hotel, and that was about the only redeeming feature. The rooms were cramped. Although the hotel is on the waterfront, most rooms face alleys and don't have a view. During our visit, the HVAC was broken and stuck on full blast heating, so we had to keep the windows open. At checkout, staff insisted on cash for the city tax, though there had been no warning at check in or on the prepaid reservation that payment had to be cash only. The nearby ATMs were the scam kind that charge absurd fees.

The apartment was in an ideal location and was very pleasant, and we had an excellent stay. I also really appreciated the staff doing me a big favor and sending back the ID card I'd forgotten. Many thanks!

We fell in love with Venice on our first visit, and the hotel was a perfect base. Two male staff members welcomed us when we arrived, though we unfortunately forgot their names. They were lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. The porter who showed us to our rooms was just as kind and greeted us with a smile. We couldn't fault the hotel, highly recommend the location, and can't wait to return. Thank you to all the staff!

The porter who helped us was kind and friendly, but the rude reception staff and manager made the stay thoroughly unpleasant. The elevator also stopped working, and at checkout we had to carry our luggage down four flights of stairs. There was no communication or consideration about it. We had paid extra for an upgraded room with more space and a nicer, modern bathroom. Instead, we were given a room that was much smaller and more outdated than the one we booked, with a bathroom nothing like the photos. When we raised the concern at reception, the manager insisted the room was correct and said the website photos were “generic.” He also said, “I’m not sure how they do it… wherever you’re from, but that’s how we do it in Italy.” When I explained we wanted the upgrade we had paid for, he replied passive aggressively, “If you don’t like the room, you could just say that.” After a lot of back and forth, he finally moved us to the room we had originally booked. The problems started at check in. When we said we were checking in, a staff member sighed and answered, “Well, I guess so…” We hoped it was a misunderstanding, but the manager's response made things worse. The hotel itself is acceptable, but the attitude of reception and the manager made our stay completely unenjoyable. I wouldn't recommend it.
