I booked this lovely place for my parents, who don’t speak any English, and they were absolutely delighted. Livia, the owner, went above and beyond to communicate with me and with them, and to help with anything they needed. My dad especially loved her wonderful breakfast, and he’s not easy to please when it comes to food! If you get the chance to stay with Livia, don’t hesitate.

Upstairs, it feels like a cozy home with three rooms and a shared balcony looking across a canal toward the sea. You stop being a tourist once you’re here. Mornings start slowly: make coffee in the kitchen, then sip it with your partner while watching the everyday goings-on of the neighbours. At night, the breeze carries whispers from the Venetian waters to your bedside, and you drift into a dream.

There are some lovely little restaurants nearby, and Livia took great care of us. The accommodation on the Lido was a lovely place to stay, away from the hectic pace of Venice.

Clean and affordable, with friendly people. The beach is close by, and a short, pleasant boat ride gets you to Venice’s crowded old quarters. A really nice place to stay.
