The room stayed hot even though the AC was running, and the torn window screens let mosquitoes in, making the nights sweaty. The toilet sprayed water onto the floor between the lid and rim, and its urine flush setting didn’t work, leaving only a full-power flush. We went through the two rolls of toilet paper quickly cleaning up the bathroom. There was also a sewer smell in the room and the shower drained badly. Storage was limited: no drawers, and no hangers on the clothes rack. With no staff on site to sort any of this out, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

The room and bathroom were spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was limited in choice, but enough to get the day started. The place is quiet and well located for exploring Venice on foot, though our room felt a little cold despite the heating working. It wasn’t easy to spot because there’s no large sign, but GPS got us there.

We spent three days here with my seven-year-old son, and it made a great base for seeing the city without being caught up in the tourist crowds. The landlord was so kind. It felt familiar and welcoming, and the service was much more like a hotel than a B&B. I’d recommend it!

Carlo was so friendly and helpful. I also loved the breakfast, served in a beautiful room with Venetian charm. The hotel is central but far enough from the big crowds, and my room was quiet and clean. The bed was large, as was the bathroom.
