The interiors have been completely modernized, which is a lovely touch. This small B&B also has welcoming hosts, comfortable rooms, and a great location. A perfect choice for a Venetian stay. I can’t wait to come back.

Clean, but one room wasn’t enough for us. There was no bin, no cleaning supplies, an electrical or lighting problem inside the wardrobe, and the bathroom shower door was broken.

Alberto was a helpful host and quick to respond on WhatsApp, especially when we needed to find medical help. The rooms were newly renovated, nicely decorated, and very clean. Breakfast is self-service, and the WiFi works well. The location is good too, near a huge Spar supermarket, about ten minutes from the railway station, with good restaurants nearby. There’s no TV, table, or tea and coffee making setup in the room. I also found the lack of written instructions confusing. For example, each room has its own box of ham, cheese, and yogurt in the fridge, labelled with the room name, which is a great idea, but some guests weren’t sure how breakfast worked.

The Contarini room was very clean and spacious, and while breakfast wasn’t extensive, the quality was acceptable. The landlords responded to complaints and tried to help. The location is ideal for visiting Venice, and the surrounding area is decent, though the building itself felt quite sad. I stayed for two nights, 4-6 May 2023, and found the property’s status confusing. It’s advertised as a hotel, sometimes explicitly, but it felt more like an Airbnb. Parking and breakfast are offered, which can give a hotel impression, and the photos were misleading and made it look like a luxury hotel. There’s no reception. The parking is outdoors in the building’s garden, uncovered, unguarded, and poorly lit. Breakfast is do-it-yourself, and the area is too small. I was first given the Grimani room, which had an annoying smell, and a completely dark parking spot. After I complained, I got the better Contarini room and a somewhat lit parking space.
