I loved beginning the morning in the lovely courtyard and coming back after a long day to a clean, tasteful room. This charming family-run hotel is in a peaceful spot right on a canal, close to local restaurants and an easy walk from Venice's main attractions. Caterina, Alvise and Doreen gave us a warm welcome, shared their knowledge and helped us throughout the stay. I very much hope to return one day!

In the evening we sat in the hall beside reception, watched the gondolas pass and drank some wonderful wine. It was an unforgettable experience, one of the most beautiful of my life. The hosts, Ms. Katerina and her son Alvise, made us feel like family, as if we'd known each other for years. Our spacious room was spotlessly clean and looked out over the canal. The historic building has such an atmosphere that it feels as though time has stopped and you're in another era. The location is wonderful, near restaurants, cafés and shops, and only 5 minutes from St. Mark’s Square. We'll definitely come back and stay here again.

A wonderful Venice stay, and I'll come back for sure. The spacious, clean bedroom had marble floors and windows looking over the canal.

We came back from Alvise's boat tour wanting to see even more of Venice. He took us out twice, once in the morning and again at sunset, and showed us sights we'd have struggled to see on foot, by gondola or on a big boat tour. The power boat is right at the hotel, and it was an incredible experience for our family. We felt swept into an action adventure movie, or maybe a perfume ad, whichever way you want to enjoy it. The hosts can also arrange gondola rides, water taxis, a Murano glass making factory tour and other adventures. They know what's going on in Venice and offered ideas suited to traveling with our 10 year old. They speak fluent English and French and were attentive and accommodating. They even invited us to a friend's art opening and reception, but we already had dinner plans with friends. Every morning they served a range of coffees and freshly baked croissants, delivered to our room or one of the comfy lounges. The location is fantastic. It's a few minutes' walk from the main sights, yet feels a little tucked away and quiet at night. There's a grocery store, pizza, gelato, bakery and restaurants around the corner. From the airport, public transport by water and bus takes about an hour, then there's a 5-10min walk. A water taxi takes 25 min straight to the reception lounge, which opens onto a cozy canal. We arrived by public water bus and walked a short way, then left in a direct-to-airport water taxi shared with other hotel guests. Both were easy. Our room had space for three, lovely views, comfortable furniture, a wonderful shower and bathroom, and good AC. There was a large TV, though you probably won't need it in Venice, and the mini fridge was stocked with treats for different tastes. This is a charming, comfortable, classy place run by a multigenerational family, right in the heart of Venice. It was my wife's third visit to the city, but my first, as well as our 10 year old son's. We want to come back and explore more, and already know where we'll stay.
