The room felt comfortable and recently renovated, and I’d happily stay here again. It’s also an easy walk to Piazza San Marco, right from a great spot in Venice. A few practical details: there’s no lift, as is common in Venice, so pack light or look into luggage storage. Check-in is self-service after your ID is verified. You can use the panel by the front door to contact management or enter your keypass code. At checkout, leave the city tax in cash in the room; a bank transfer may be possible, but having cash ready is simpler. Checkout itself just means leaving the room.

We had a lovely surprise waiting for us, a bottle of prosecco, and really enjoyed our stay. The bedroom and bathroom had both been fully renovated, and we could see the canal from a great location. Just perfect.

Getting around the city on foot was easy from this central spot. Our room and bathroom were both roomy and comfortable. There isn’t a reception desk, but they handled everything through WhatsApp and replied quickly with helpful answers.

The room looked reasonably new, and we got coffee capsules and water each day. They also left two mini bottles of sparkling wine as a welcome. But for what the hotel charges, this felt much more like a hostel, and the experience was a complete trap. The biggest problem was that our private bathroom was outside the room, directly across from the entrance. The hotel doesn’t make this clear, and there are no photos of this particular room, even though the bathroom photo in the app is accurate. If someone opens the entrance door, it blocks our room door; if it’s left open, we could get stuck in the bathroom. At night, even a bathroom trip meant getting fully dressed in case we met someone in the hall. The room also had no sink, and its windows faced a wall about 50 cm away. The shower was under the wooden stairs, where the constant sound of suitcases and shoes made it feel like a bus station bathroom. The room itself didn’t match the photos and sat on the first floor beside the entrance to the upstairs rooms, next to a noisy wooden staircase. The soap and shampoo were low quality. There was no full-length mirror, just a small one in the bathroom, which had no room for personal items. Breakfast wasn’t included. The towels and pillows were a 5, the bed comfort a 7, and the location an 8. The staff who welcomed us were helpful, a 10, despite not speaking English or Spanish fluently.
