Cima Rosa

Cora was the standout. My wife developed mobility problems during our three week Europe trip, so I asked ahead about renting a wheelchair. Cora arranged it and met us at the vaporetto stop at 8 PM, then wheeled my wife back to the hotel. She also helped us book restaurants, get tickets to St. Mark's Basilica, find things to see and do, and plan our departure. She's a gem. We spent five wonderful nights at Cima Rosa. The rooms were roomy, clean, and well furnished, and breakfast was generous in a beautiful room overlooking the Grand Canal. The location is easy too, within 100 yards of the San Stae vaporetto stop with no bridges to cross. There are plenty of places to stay in Venice, but I'd put this one high on the list for any budget.

We loved the elegant living room and its classic windows onto the Grand Canal, along with the gorgeous courtyard. The location is just a few minutes on foot from the Realto Bridge, yet it felt far from the crowds. The restaurant list they put together was thoughtful, and every place we tried was amazing. Perfetto! We're so glad we picked Cima Rosa, and grateful its wonderful staff seemed just as happy to have us. We'd definitely recommend this lovely property for a Venetian holiday.

We booked a smaller room without a view, but it and the bathroom were spacious, especially by Venice standards. There's also a great lounge with a kitchen. Restaurants and a grocery store are close by, and since the hotel sits on the gran canal, you can watch boats go past over breakfast or a grappa by the water. The place has the feel of someone's home, not a big hotel. Dora, the concierge, was more like a host. Wonderful atmosphere and service, a real gem. 11/10, I'd stay again!

The team looked after us so well, we couldn't have asked for more. Cima Rosa is a restored old palace on the Grand Canal, with traditional character and a few modern touches. We visited from LA and found it charming, close to lovely squares and restaurants, while still feeling peaceful.
