City Apartments - Margherita

Etienne handled this very badly, and I would never do business with him again. My bank flagged the reservation as potentially fraudulent, opened an inquiry, and cancelled it, but the charges were reinstated on my card very quickly. Etienne was paid, yet he kept our money and wouldn't restore the reservation or give us a credit, even though he could have honored it. Very poor business practices.

The room was nicely designed and the bathroom was exceptional. The place is cozy and clean, and the host was friendly and helped with everything we needed. The apartment's location is strategic, making it easy to get around the city. There's a bar downstairs, which is worth mentioning, but I found the noise tolerable.

The room was presented pretty well, but its best feature was also the problem: it's right above the busiest bar in the square, with loud music playing until 2 am. When we told the landlord, he said it wasn't for a tourist experience but a real Venetian one. So if you're a tourist who wants to sleep, go somewhere else. If you want the party atmosphere in your room until the early hours, maybe this is the place for you!

We stayed two nights, for around 240 euros through Booking. The room was clean, though it could have been cleaner, and overall it felt like good value. Thanks to the man who let us check in early at 11:30 am. We had arrived in the morning, and it was extremely hot outside in the middle of the day. Nights can be noisy because there's a bar under the hotel that stays open until 2 am on some days.
