Hotel Do Pozzi

We had no problems during our stay, and the hotel felt like a new home away from home. The rooms are small, and people take things at an easy pace, a bit like staying with family. We liked it that way. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do, less than a four-minute walk from the boat taxi and bus. It's tucked just off the main street with all the high-end shops, and there's a handy bar across the road. The skylight in our room was cool, and we liked the alley exit onto the main road. We spent time researching before the trip, steering clear of tourist traps and places hyped on Tik-Tok. People visiting other countries should check their expectations and do some research too. If you need lots of pampering, I'd suggest a local Four Seasons, which will feel like everywhere else in America. For an experience you'll remember, I'd stick with local amenities.

The staff were welcoming and professional, and I felt at home. I also felt safe throughout my stay, and the hotel was peaceful and quiet, a good place to relax after a long day. My room had a fridge, kettle, desk, and good lighting, and the bed was very comfortable. The room temperature was just right. Everything, from the lobby to the rooms, was spotless, with housekeeping doing a great job each day. It was close to everything I needed while still being in a quiet area, and the price was very affordable for the quality and comfort. I had a wonderful stay at this three-star hotel. I'd happily recommend it as a comfortable, reliable place to stay, and I'll be back.

My partner and I booked through Booking, and the room was hotter than a summer day in death valley. There was no way to control the temperature. It was tiny, smaller than a box of matches, and to close the bathroom door you had to step into the shower. The booking page promised a king-size bed, but that wasn't what we got. When we told the receptionist, he acted like we were speaking a different language. He said the hotel didn't have king beds and that the listing on Booking was wrong. At checkout he brought up our complaint to Booking and argued with us about it. I could write a novel about how awful this place was, but I'll spare you. Please don't stay here.

It's well organized and right in the middle of the tourist area, with a safe feel. The room is very small, though, and the sink clogs.
