Eurostars Cannaregio

We enjoyed being a little off the beaten path, while still within a 10-minute walk of all the Venice sights. Our room was clean and fairly spacious, a loft for my husband and me, right on a canal. The only reason we gave it four stars was having to go up and down stairs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, so keep that in mind if you get up often. The desk helped arrange a private water taxi to the airport at the end of our stay.

The bed was amazing. I slept like a log and still miss it. Service was really good, and breakfast was great. There's a supermarket about a five-minute walk from the hotel where you can buy inexpensive stuff. The elevator is snail slow, but having it beats carrying your things upstairs. I'd absolutely stay again if I come back to Venice.

We really liked walking around the neighborhood each day. The water bus and plenty of other things were within a 10-minute walk, though some hotels are more conveniently placed for the tourist spots. Our room was spacious and clean, with a Venice feel, and looking out meant looking straight onto a canal. The service was attentive and friendly. We didn't try the hotel's food or breakfast, so can't comment on that. All in all, a great place to stay.

The breakfast was great, and it was nice staying in a quieter part of Venice, with the busier spots reachable on foot or by vaporetto. The hotel is good quality and made for an easy stay. There were a couple of small issues: the in-room safe wasn't attached to anything and was locked open, and the fridge was barely cooler than room temperature even though it was switched on. Recommended.
