Matteo gave us a lovely welcome and plenty of helpful ideas for sightseeing and places to eat. Thanks to him, our stay was wonderful. We spent six days in Venice as a family at Fenix Otello Apartment, in the same alley as Fenix Do Dogi and owned by the same person. The apartment was ideal for six, with two separate bedrooms and a sofa bed. It was clean, practical, and well located in Castello, about a 15-minute walk from St. Mark's Square. It's also quiet and close to Via Garibaldi, with its shops, restaurants, and bars.

The host was welcoming and available whenever we needed anything, and the outdoor apartment is a great place with all the essentials: tea, coffee, water, cakes, and other necessary equipment. But there were some issues we hadn't been told about. The hot water ran out quickly, and I still had soap on me. The bathroom lock doesn't work, the terrace door feels very fragile or possibly broken, and one of the two flush buttons and a toilet support are broken too.

My wife and I both loved this charming, comfortable apartment in a quiet part of Venice. The staff were very kind and even gave us some typical Venetian biscuits when we arrived. I highly recommend it.
