Fontana Venice

The staff were lovely, welcomed us warmly, and their kindness was the only positive part of this stay. The room itself was appalling. There were marks and substances covering the walls from top to bottom, a thick layer of filth on the floor, and a strong body odor smell. Several wires were exposed around the room, and there was mold in the bathroom. I'm concerned the place is highly unsafe, so I'm leaving this review to give future customers a clear idea before booking.

The bedding was clean, and the staff were professional and welcoming. The rest was barely functional: there were no cups in the washroom, very little sound insulation, a dirty floor, and a shower that worked. Fine at best for one night. It gets noisy from 06h in the morning.

The neighborhood was fine, and the hotel is near a bus stop, but getting to central Venice meant taking a bus and then a water bus. The trip took about an hour, longer than we'd expected, though we didn't mind the commute. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The room, on the other hand, was disgusting. There were stains on the comforter and walls, and mold in the shower. Somehow I felt dirtier after using it. The water only came out scalding hot. The room smelled bad the first night, though it was fine the second. The AC didn't work, so it was hot at night and we left a window open for cooler air. This place was so nasty they should've paid us to stay. I wouldn't recommend it, even if it's cheap.

The hotel is good, and the photos are real. I saw no dirt, bugs, mosquitoes, or anything like that. Some people throwing lies at the hotel may be racist or have some other issue. I think the owner doesn't know about all these negative comments. Anyone who doubts it can come, take pictures inside the room, and show the truth if they're a real person. Maybe hotels in Tunisia are bad and full of mosquitoes, since I've been there many times, but Italians are clean people.
