Guest House Spazio Sud

We loved the Venetian feel of this older apartment. It's not modern, but it has a rooftop, a glimpse of greenery, and a canal off to the right if you lean out the window. The owner was friendly and helpful. Downstairs, the coffee at "Gelateria Nico" was some of the best I've ever had. The apartment is only a few meters from the Zattere waterbus stop, with plenty of restaurants, cafés and ice cream places close by. We were on the second floor, and there is no elevator. The bathroom was small but worked fine. Breakfast was generous and made with good quality products, served in a large, private room with a flat-screen TV.

Breakfast was generous, and the coffee was delicious. The location makes it easy to get around, with everything close enough, and the value for money was excellent. Finding the main entrance took some effort because it's down a narrow alley. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Venice.

The apartment has an old-fashioned charm and is very quiet. The owner is lovely and speaks excellent French. It's in an excellent location, and the ice cream at Nico's on the nearby Zattere is truly excellent.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, quiet, clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent. I'd recommend it for a Venetian weekend or a longer stay.
