Violino D’Oro Venezia

We asked about an upgrade when we arrived and were very happy with the suite overlooking S. Moise canal. It was spacious, with a huge walk-in robe for our luggage. The hotel is beautifully appointed, and the rooms are roomy. Staff were friendly and professional, and breakfast was plentiful. We also loved relaxing in the bar, whether for coffee and a bit of reading or drinks before or after dinner. The location is hard to beat, a short stroll from St Marks Square and right by the high-end boutiques. I can’t fault this boutique hotel and will definitely return. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay, probably the best hotel of our five weeks in Italy.

My kids were made to feel welcome and happy throughout our stay, with little gifts and thoughtful touches. Venice isn’t exactly known for being super kid friendly, so I was genuinely impressed by the care they put in. It makes a big difference and you can feel that thoughtfulness throughout the hotel. The hotel and rooms are beautiful, and everything felt right as soon as we arrived. I travel often and stay in great hotels, and this is one of the nicest I’ve been to in a long time. Shout out to my friends at Violino di oro. I’m completely in love with this place, and we’ll definitely be back very soon.

We had a canal view and enjoyed watching the gondoliers come and go. The hotel is very central, and breakfast was excellent. The lovely details include Fortuny and Barovier & Toso chandeliers, beautiful workmanship throughout, and Venetian striped tafetta curtains that I loved.

The room itself was lovely, and the location was excellent. Staff were very friendly. Still, it didn’t quite feel like a five-star hotel. The layout across three buildings was strange, and I had to go outside to get from my room to the lobby. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, and the restaurant was overpriced in the evening, as well as empty.
