The staff were nice, and the room was clean, warm, and lovely, though small. It was a good price for a solo room and the location was handy, close to the water taxi. The bathroom was especially cramped, with a tiny shower. Breakfast was basic, and I missed having a toaster. There’s no bar in the hotel, and I would have liked a kettle in the room. The outdoor seating area is pleasant, but in early February some blankets would have helped keep you warm.

I’d stay here again. The garden was a pleasant spot to sit, with the lantern on the dome of the Gesuati visible over the neighboring building. The room was small and quite overheated, but clean. Breakfast was included, generous, and perfectly edible, if nothing fancy. The hotel sits on the same street as the Accademia, halfway between the Accademia and Zattare vaporetto stops and the Accademia bridge. I had actually booked at Domus Cavanis across the street and was upgraded here.

We got a warm welcome, and the reception staff had already given us useful advice before we arrived. They were extremely friendly, and the location is excellent. I was also glad there was a lift/elevator. For a stay longer than 2-3 nights, an easy chair, a lamp, and some drawers would be nice, but that’s a minor quibble.

Getting around was easy from this very central spot, including walking to the train station, and the reception staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The room was a different story: it hadn’t been cleaned properly and smelled noticeably of dust and mold, which made it uncomfortable. The door also didn’t lock securely, leaving me uneasy. Cleanliness and safety matter a lot to me, so these problems cost the hotel a few stars. The staff and location were great, but the rooms need more attention and maintenance.

Our window looked onto a school yard, where children played during their lunch break each day, so it got a little noisy then. The rest of the day was quiet. The room was small but tidy, with one double bed and two single beds stacked one above the other. The location was very good, close to most attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was pretty basic: eggs, cheese, crenwurst, some sweets, two kinds of fresh juice, coffee, and a few other things.
