Hotel Casa Verardo Residenza d'Epoca

Our room was impressively spacious for our family of four, and the hotel was clean and well organized. The staff were very helpful, and breakfast had a delicious range of choices. We had to leave early on our last day, so they thoughtfully prepared a breakfast box for us. The location was perfect, just a five-minute walk to the water bus station and really convenient for getting around Venice. Our room was right beside the breakfast area, so it got a bit noisy after 6:00 AM when staff began preparing things. Light sleepers might want a room farther down the hall, though for most people it probably wouldn’t be a major issue. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend it.

The concierge was exceptional. They asked what we had planned, then pointed out other ideas and suggestions. We were a little worried it would feel far from the station, but several bus routes get you within a few minutes’ walk. The room matched the pictures and what we booked, maybe even a little more. It stayed cool at night, and we could open three sets of windows, all with working shutters for sleeping in. On our last night, we walked just a few steps to HEY RICH bar for cheese, cold cuts, and $9 half-liter wine, and it was just perfect. We were away from the crowds but close to everything. We’d give it a 10 if we could.

The breakfast was super. If you like spacious heritage hotels, this place will tick all the boxes. The person who greeted us was a lot like Jürgen Klopp, made us feel welcome straight away, and gave us great advice for our visit.

The quiet little-haven feel is lovely, even though everything is close by. Our room had modern touches but still felt quaint and classy, and the hotel has that boutique character with plenty of history. The staff made my birthday stay in Venice especially memorable. Illaria, Hans, Alessandro and Federico went well beyond what they needed to do. I’d return as soon as I can, without a second thought. This whole experience was absolutely worth it.
