We liked having a quieter base on Lido after the energy of Venice. The hotel doesn’t have a 24-hour front desk, but they sent us the gate and door codes in advance. Desk staff helped with plans and water bus times, and the station was right across the street, making trips to the main city and other islands easy. We chose a smaller room, which worked well for two. It was 5° outside, and the room had heat, though the stone walls took a while to warm up. There’s a single-person lift to the first floor, but stairs only to the second, which could be an accessibility issue for some. Breakfast was included, with lots of choice and friendly morning staff. A kettle and tea in the lobby gave us a place to regroup each afternoon. There are plenty of bakeries, bars, and restaurants nearby, though some close in January. Great value, and we’d stay again and recommend it.

It’s a calm area, and there’s a beautiful sunset from the port. The hotel is on an island about 20 minutes from the main island. The staff were friendly, the room was nice, and the location was excellent.

We stayed at Giardinetto hotel for two days and really enjoyed it. The hotel is in Lido, just across the road from the ferry station and 2-3 stops from downtown Venice. There are lots of good restaurants nearby, and the staff are hospitable and speak English. Our room was cozy, clean, and a good size, with basics like a small refrigerator, hair dryer, and heater. Breakfast was included and tasty. When we were leaving at 4 am the next morning, the staff even packed some for us. The gates and doors are password locked, and we could come and go anytime. There’s no elevator, so big, heavy suitcases could be a challenge. Small bags or carry-ons are fine. Thanks for a great stay in Lido ❤️

Lido is much quieter than Venice itself, and the hotel made a more affordable base for my solo trip around Venice and Northern Italy. The water bus stop is right next door, and the beach, shops, and restaurants are all close. The staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke English. My room was small but clean, with great views, and suited a solo traveler or a couple. Breakfast had a good selection and filled me up. The location was perfect for me.
