Hotel Le Isole

We liked the calm setting, just a few minutes from some of Venice’s main attractions. The room was comfortable and the location worked perfectly for us. Breakfast was nice, although there wasn't much variety. What was on the buffet seemed high quality.

The rooms have lovely furniture and plenty of space. There’s a nice lobby as well as an outdoor patio for breakfast or cocktails. Great hotel.

I liked how simply the rooms were decorated. A lot of Venice hotels feel too busy to me, but this one was restful and spotlessly clean. The hotel is small, with just one floor of rooms up a single flight of stairs. Staff were attentive and friendly, and someone was always at the desk to greet us. Breakfast was included, served from 7-12, and was great. The location is fantastic for walking around the main island and getting to the boats. It’s right on a canal, with gondolas outside. The room did get very warm because, according to another guest we spoke to, air conditioning isn't turned on until mid April. We kept the window open and felt safe doing so. Although it faces a busy street, it wasn't too noisy, and it was nice hearing the city wake up. The rooms may need a bit of a facelift in the next few years, but I’d stay again.

You can step straight from the front door into a gondola, and the hotel is right on a waterway, very close to St. marks square. The staff were great, breakfast was good, and they can store your luggage if you need. Water and a small snack were available at all times. Great hotel.
