It's a great hotel for its category, though it shouldn’t be measured against five-star luxury places. The bathroom was beautifully updated, and the air conditioning worked very well. I can't think of another issue apart from there being no fridge. Things like a balcony, a view, or a pool aren't really relevant here. Ratings come down to what each person expects.

The air conditioning was excellent, and we enjoyed staying here despite the dated furnishings. The staff at hotel geramia (?) who handed over our key were very helpful. It was also handy to have mosquito repellents plugged in beside each bed. The bathroom's folding plastic door needs replacing: its handles fell off a few times, and it doesn't offer full privacy, though it’s fine for a couple. The shower leaked too, and I noticed mosquitoes a few times. I’m not sure if they came through the window when we opened it briefly to clear the steam, or through the small hole in the shower.

We had a large room, a nicely updated bathroom, and a superb location for the price. Tucked down a quiet little alley just off the main strip, with everything within walking distance. The only thing to flag is the wifi was almost unusable. I think the signal depended on which room you were in.

The room wasn't fancy, but I expected that from a budget hotel in such an expensive city. It was refreshed every day with clean towels, and the shared bathroom stayed clean and had plenty of hot water. The hotel is convenient to the train station, and the check-in details were clearly sent by email.

The girl at check-in was pleasant and really helpful. She pointed out restaurants and good places nearby to start a gondola ride, and listed three of her favorite spots for local food. We tried them, and two became favorites of ours too. We stayed for two nights, and after eight days across Rome, Florence, and Milan, this was the best hotel of our trip. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was roomy, and I loved the very Veniceyy furniture designs, LoL! The train station is a 15-minute walk away, or you can take Line 2 waterbus, with the stop a five-minute walk and one stop away. A really pleasant stay, and I strongly recommend it. When we visit Venice again, this will be the first place we try to book. Thank you Hotel Leonardo. fino alla prossima volta!!!
