The woman serving morning coffee at the bar was the only person who was polite and kind. The rest of the stay was by far the most disappointing I’ve had. The hosts were unwelcoming and unhelpful, and on the first night they put me in a triple room that wasn’t shown in the online photos. Its bathroom looked and sounded like a ship cabin, and the walls had stains that seemed to be coffee. When I asked for a refund, they refused. Booking.com offered to help with a small compensation, but the property charged me that same amount too, saying they didn’t want to cover it. So the stay was paid for twice, once by me and once by Booking.com. The place was dirty, the promised Wi-Fi never came, and I was overcharged. It felt like the hosts cared only about money and profit, not hospitality or professionalism. The whole thing was unacceptable. This place is unprofessional, unhygienic, and not worth the money. I honestly don’t understand how it’s still listed on Booking.

Our family room worked really well for two adults and two kids, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable three nights. There was a kettle and coffee at no extra charge, plus a lounge area. Breakfast was served every morning by a delightful lady and a young guy who looked after everyone. It’s a great place to explore from. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We booked at the last minute after getting to Venice, and the location couldn’t be better. It’s close to the main sights but tucked far enough away to stay peaceful and quiet. The staff were excellent and helpful whenever we spoke with them, and kindly let us leave our luggage at the hotel after checkout. Breakfast was very nice, and the lady serving it was super friendly.

The breakfast was satisfying, and the espresso was some of the best I’ve had. There wasn’t much variety: one Gouda-like cheese, two kinds of salami, pancakes, yogurt granola, and a delicious warm croissant. The shared bathroom was clean, though it didn’t have soap. There was soap in the room, so that wasn’t a problem. My friend and I found the staff incredibly friendly and cheerful during our Venice visit. The room and bed were a good size. It’s close to the center, while the ferries are about a 10 minute walk away. I was happy with the stay and would book here again if I visit Venice.

Locanda Silva made our visit much easier, especially with my wife and baby. The staff gave us tips for getting around, moved our room so it was easier to reach with a pram, and brought takeaway breakfast to our room because we had an early start. Every interaction was helpful, and not one moment felt like a bad experience. Thanks for looking after us! The hotel is right in the center of Venice, too.
