Oasis Lagoon Estate

This little rooftop chalet at the lagoon residency gave us a peaceful place to step away from everything, even if only briefly. It was bright, clean, welcoming, and had what we needed. With the water and sky all around, it felt like home and became part of what made our Lido/Venice stay so lovely.

We stayed five nights in July in the “Roof Suite with Terrace and Lagoon View.” The room and lovely terrace matched the pictures, perhaps even looking better in person. The view is fantastic, the location is good, and the beach is nearby. Reaching Venice was simple: walk about 8-10 minutes to Lido S.M.E. station, where a vaporetto comes along within a few minutes or a reasonable wait. Check-in and checkout were quick, and messaging with the owners before and during the stay was easy. Most things were great, and I’d love to return. We hadn’t realized the room was reset daily rather than cleaned each day, and towels were changed every three days. It wasn’t a major problem, but that arrangement didn’t feel in keeping with the price.

The owners were friendly and helpful whenever we needed them, and cleaning was thorough and neat each day. The welcome was warm, with a brief, clear explanation. We ordered breakfast each morning, delivered to our room at the time we chose. It had a personal touch, varied a little each day, and was always tasty, with fresh toast and croissants. The room is sized well enough for two people, with a nice little bathroom and shower. The real treat is the large rooftop terrace and its unmatched view over the lagoon toward Venice. You can sunbathe there without going to the crowded beaches. In the early morning or after sunset, watching boats pass while sipping a late drink was wonderful. Venice sits northwest of Oasis residence. This was the best short stay we’ve had anywhere, and we’ll be back in a few years.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the bars and restaurants on the main street are only a short stroll away. We had a great apartment with superb lagoon views toward St Marks ( San Marco). Ideal for a few days in Venice, just a short boat ride away.
