Palazzo Guardi

For our three-night stay, this was a very good option for the price. The hotel is conveniently placed, with everything walkable and the train station about 15 minutes away. Our room was clean, housekeeping came daily, breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly.

Valentina really made our visit memorable. She kindly walked us to the room, explained everything clearly, and went out of her way to help us find our way around the city. Everyone was welcoming, and the hotel was spotless, full of Venetian character, and charming. We stayed Monday, September 1 - Wednesday, September 3 2025, in an attic room in the main building with a terrace and a lovely view. We especially enjoyed sitting out there in the evenings with a glass of wine. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend Palazzo Guardi. Thanks again to Palazzo Guardi and Valentina!

It felt like a real, authentic Venezia stay. The little hotel is run so well, with lots of charm and a warm, friendly spirit. We felt welcome, and every request was handled with such hospitality. Its spot is great for exploring the Academia quarter (Dorsoduro), while San Marco and Santo Stefano square are still very close across the iconic Academia bridge. Santa Maria Della Salute and Guggenheim Collection are close by too.

There’s a nice breakfast included, and by day you’ll find plenty of nearby places for lunch or gelato. At night, another nearby area has lively options for eating and drinking late. This part of Venice has plenty to see, though it’s set apart from what you might call the main strip. It’s about a 15-minute Vaporetto (boat) ride to St. Mark’s, in an older, slightly cheaper part of town. The building’s age brings some limitations, but the staff seemed caring and keen to make the best of what they have. You can find better, but not at this price, so I’d call it decent value. There is an elevator, though it’s tiny and very slow, mostly useful for luggage. One person could use it if needed.
