A well-located apartment, just a one-minute walk from St marcs square. It has a kitchen and living room, plus two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Tasty food at an inexpensive price. It's on a side street, only five minutes from San Marco.

The mattress was good, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the apartment had decent furnishings overall. The double room had a large TV, though I can't say whether it worked since we never turned it on. I couldn't use the closet because it was packed with pillows and linens. For one night, the cost was €228.00 plus €12.00 tourist tax. At that price, I expected better service. I found this duplex on Via Calle Carro near Piazza San Marco through Booking.com. Before we arrived, I asked Mr. Davide about leaving our bags before check-in and about the included breakfast. He said it would have coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, croissants, and homemade cake. We got there at noon, within the stated 12:00-15:00 check-in window, but couldn't meet him at the agreed time after taking a wrong turn. Google Maps brought me to the alley, but the apartment was hard to identify because there was no sign and the last two digits of the number were difficult to make out. After several calls, I finally reached someone at the rental company, "Venice e Apartments s.r.l.s." It took about ten more calls before I got instructions and the locker code by phone. When we entered, the cleaning wasn't finished, so we left our bags and went for lunch while the cleaner arrived. We came back around 3:20 PM, met the manager, paid, and were told to call if we needed anything. The breakfast set out for the morning was only five coffee pods, four packaged croissants, and a box of tea bags. There was no sugar, milk, lemon, or anything else I had been told to expect. It was warm upstairs, so I tried the air conditioning, but it wouldn't work. Each room had three towels, but there was no soap or shower gel, so we went out to buy some. I called Mr. Davide repeatedly without an answer. At 5:00 PM he messaged that he couldn't answer calls and had been told to text him. I explained the issues, and he said the breakfast was the same welcome breakfast and insisted the air conditioning couldn't be broken because he'd tested it that morning. He sent instructions, but it still didn't work. I asked him to call, but heard nothing. Luckily the temperature was manageable that night, but I wonder what we would have done if it had been hotter. There were four of us. The front door only locked when the key was turned, so anyone going out had to lock the others inside. I'm writing this for the four people who stayed the night of July 14th, in the hope that the service improves and guests are treated more humanely.

We booked this apartment for one night, September 9 to 10, and it was the worst choice we've ever made. I strongly wouldn't recommend it. We arrived at noon, as our reservation said, but nobody answered the doorbell. The host's number was listed on the booking, so I called to ask how to get the keys from the coded locker. There was no answer after 38 calls, and some calls were hung up on. Texts got no reply either. After we'd waited outside the closed door for about half an hour, the code finally came by text. The locker was in poor shape, which made getting the keys difficult. The apartment still needed cleaning when we got in. We were told the cleaners were delayed by other very dirty guests, so we went out for lunch. When we returned at 3:00 PM, the cleaning had supposedly been done, but there was heavy dust, cobwebs in the air, a strong mold smell, and a puddle on the bedroom floor. The upstairs bathroom had hair shampoo and a bottle of dish soap to use as hand sanitizer, plus just one towel per person for everything. The downstairs bathroom light was out, and the toilet brush sat in a jug of water that was a few centimeters deep and nowhere near clean. It was disgraceful. The air conditioning came and went, as did both TVs. The smaller bedroom was missing its bedside table, or rather, the shelf meant to serve as one. There were holes in the wall, but apparently nobody finished the job. The shower was another problem: even after I followed the directions and let the water run for 15 minutes, it was only lukewarm or ice cold. Breakfast was included in the booking. What we found was already-opened cereal that smelled old, vinegar with flies in it, salt, two coffee capsules for four adults, and packaged croissants.
