I was very unhappy with this stay. The towels were not clean, and the room was freezing. The bed was old and uncomfortable too. Then an emergency came up and I had to cancel, but when I asked to do so without a fee, the property refused, with no understanding or discussion. I don't recommend the place. I hope management improves the accommodation and how they communicate with guests. Also, take a look at the hotel's inappropriate response below to guests' comments.
We stayed two nights and had no complaints. The room had a great view, and the breakfast voucher was for a place just around the corner. It's a 23 min walk from the termini. There are stairs, though, so if you fear stairs, avoid Venice.
We stayed for 3 days in March 2025. The staff were nice, and you can walk to the center in about 30 minutes, taking in Venice along the way. Ferries leave right in front of the hotel, and a ticket costs 8 Euros. The hotel is a bit far from the center, though the view is nice. The room had no tea bags or coffee, and the bathroom had only a small soap. Breakfast was a letdown for us, just a complete Italian breakfast: 1 cup of tea and 1 croissant :(. Dinners are around 15-20 Euros, a little more if you drink. There are gluten-free pizzas and pastas for celiacs.
This was an awful, uncomfortable stay. My single private room was in the attic at the top of the stairs, but the private bathroom was across the hall. There was a bunk above the single bed, which I thought was a mistake, but they just folded the top bunk away and still called it a single private room. Feathers kept coming out of the comforter until they were all over my room. The towels had makeup stains from the previous guest. The halls smelled strongly of open sewer, like there'd been an “accident” and nobody had properly sanitized afterward. The reception staff were cold and unfriendly. They said the doors closed in the evening, but once they were locked when I returned at 8:30pm, and another time they were open when I got back at 11:30. They were renovating right outside my room throughout my stay without warning me, so I couldn't plan around the noise or my sleep. I also had to take out my own trash. Ants appeared in the last few days even though I kept the room clean. The superintendent with long hair and glasses was the only person who seemed concerned and friendly. I wish I could have cancelled as soon as I arrived. 0/10, do not recommend. Edit: I'm shocked by the hotel's immature reply to my negative review. I had a bad experience and was just telling the truth without sugar coating it. Relax, people will still come. It's a great location and cheap if you can put up with everything else.
The location is the biggest draw, and I'm glad a few negative reviews may have kept other people from booking, since we got a steal of an offer. We came as a couple and really enjoyed our stay. To get here, take the Alilaguna water bus from the airport to Fondamente Nove (F.TE NOVE). It's a 3-minute walk from there, right under Collegio AMDG, so no bus, taxi, or dragging suitcases through Venice is needed. We stayed in Room 101. Everything was clean, our bags had already been brought in, and there was a printed info sheet with breakfast details, check-out at 10 AM, WiFi details, and other useful info. It also had a WhatsApp number for problems. We had two issues, and they were fixed the same day. If your room isn't ready yet, you can leave your bags and the staff will move them in and let you know when it's ready. People who aren't staying there can also store luggage for a fee in a special room. City tax is due when you arrive, and Booking.com has the details. Staff were friendly, and I'm sure they'd help with questions, though I didn't have any because I planned everything 6 months ahead. The window view was nice. If you stay around Feburary/March, you can open it at 6 AM, see the fog, and curse under your nose when the ACTV lines you need aren't running that day. Breakfast is a voucher for Caffegelato or Algiubagiò between 7:30-10 AM, for coffee, juice, and a croissant. You can buy another croissant for €1 at Caffegelato or €3-5 at Algiubagiò. The printed information says you can ask the staff to bring breakfast to your room if you ask the night before, though just get up and go enjoy it. The portion is small, sure. But walk the hunger off, after the third day you don't feel it. If you do, go all-inclusive somewhere else and roll through Venice like a ball. The hotel listens to feedback and now provides earplugs. We didn't need them, since sightseeing left us exhausted. The only thing we heard while falling asleep was the alarm the next morning. If you think you need earplugs, just do 10k more steps, your welcome. The bathroom had a nice shower with cool lights, a bidet, and toiletries: 2 soaps for hands, 2 for your stinky ass, and 2 shower gels. We didn't enjoy the mattress, but that's personal preference. And guests, don't leave suitcases in the middle of the room. We came back to find everything lined up in the right places, so thank you, housekeeping! Great experience, and we'd definitely recommend it.
