Sea to Sky Apartments Faville

I’m glad I booked this apartment, especially for the price. I hesitated at first because there were only a few reviews on Expedia and Google, but the place turned out to be a good find. It’s in a residential part of Venice that feels like a quiet little fishing village. The bedroom window looks onto a beautiful canal, one of the reasons I chose it. The apartment was fairly clean, spacious, and modern, with clean sheets and towels and a well-stocked kitchen, apart from the lack of spoons. There were a couple of problems on arrival: the dishwasher was dirty, and a vase on the kitchen table held dirty water and wilting flowers (see attached pictures). You can walk to everything essential in about 10 minutes. Giardini A & B and San Pietro di Castello ferry terminals are both around 10 minutes away, with routes including 1, 2, N, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2, and 6. From there it’s easy to reach Venice and the nearby islands. St. Mark’s Basilica is a pleasant 25-minute walk. Giardini Napoleonici is close by, a lovely park where we saw lots of cute dogs, cats, and turtles. Minimarket Coop and Bailo supermercati are about six minutes away on foot. There are also smaller groceries, a pharmacy, cafés, and places to eat on Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. Wonderful Italy staff responded quickly, and when we had minor issues, they sent someone the next morning. A few things were inconvenient. The front door lock was sometimes hard to open, and the bathroom door was tricky to open and close, perhaps because of the foundation or humidity. The shower is very small. It was also difficult to reach the hangers in the bedroom closet because the rod is 8 or 9 feet high.
